Marcia was authorized as a Continuum teacher by Emilie Conrad in 2005. She has been a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner since 2000 with a background in Perceptual Integration, Bodynamic Foundation Training, and Bodynamic Shock Trauma training.

She is a graduate of the two-year training in the Castellino Prenatal & Birth Therapy training .

Marcia traveled in Europe and lived in London for one year, and has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Nepal, Tibet and India.

She spent 2 years in Kathmandu volunteering for NGOs working with women and children at risk for trafficking.
